Our Story
Little Lumens began during maternity leave, while watching my children grow and realising that many of their firsts would also be my lasts.
From first smiles to first steps, I found myself fascinated by the way children discover the world around them. Watching their confidence grow, their curiosity spark and their personalities begin to shine gave me a deep appreciation for the importance of play, connection and those everyday moments that shape early childhood.
What started as a personal passion soon led me to accredited training in child development and sensory play, and from there, Little Lumens was born.
Launching soon across Farnborough, Hampshire and the surrounding areas, Little Lumens offers sensory play classes for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups. Our sessions are designed to inspire curiosity, spark exploration and create opportunities for connection, while helping parents feel confident in supporting their child's development through play.
At its heart, Little Lumens is about creating a welcoming space where little ones can shine brightly, parents can connect, and precious early years are celebrated together.
Classes Overview
At Little Lumens, every class is shaped around the way babies and young children naturally learn — through play, movement, exploration and connection.
Sessions are guided by age and stage, with sensory experiences thoughtfully adapted so that every child can engage in a way that feels right for them. Whether they are discovering a new texture, reaching for a glowing light, or taking in the world from the safety of your arms, little ones are encouraged to explore at their own pace.
While activities are planned with development in mind, there is no expectation for children to participate in a particular way. Some little lights may jump straight in, while others prefer to watch, observe and build confidence gradually.
Our aim is simple: to create a welcoming space where curiosity can spark, confidence can grow, and little minds can shine as families learn, play and explore together. Through sensory play, we encourage little ones to follow their interests, make discoveries and light up with excitement as they learn about the world around them.

Explore Our Classes
Classes guided by age and stage, giving little ones the freedom to explore, discover and shine through sensory play, movement and connection. With activities adapted to suit different stages of development, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity while parents enjoy meaningful moments of play and connection alongside them.
First Light
(0–3 months)
A gentle introduction to sensory wonder, supporting early bonding and calming techniques for your newborn in a nurturing environment. Learn tummy time from a qualified practioner.
Gentle Glow
(3–6 months)
Focusing on tummy time confidence and visual tracking through soft lights, soothing textures, and interactive movement for developing babies.
Bright Sparks
(6–12 months)
Exploring cause and effect as your little one gains mobility. Sessions focus on fine motor skills and curious discovery of the senses.
Rising Rays
(1–2 years)
Encouraging early social play and vocabulary through interactive sensory stories, messy play, and collective discovery in a safe space.
